Will it be any faster getting a voucher since I already live in public housing? I also live in a fairly small community, will that help speed things along? Is it possible to get a voucher with no income at all?

Unless you become disabled legally, you will get a voucher when your name comes to the top of the list period.

I guess I'm not possitive what you're talking about getting a voucher for since you are already on public housing.
If you are talking about getting a voucher for section 8 then I don't think you get a voucher quicker just because you are already on public housing. But I do believe living in a smaller community will speed things up. Also I don't know about where you live but where I live, yes it is possible to recieve a voucher without any income.
