I recently saw a show in Las Vegas where this was done, and because I was seated so far to the side I could see behind the screen. What the girl did was drop the top of her outfit (velcroed at the shoulders) so that it turned inside-out off the shoulder and down from the waist to cover the skirt part and showing another top beneath. And she did this several times, so she was wearing multiple layers of double-sided outfits. There may be other methods, though.

i dunno but if you read this one guy's explanation for a previous version of the same question you will think to yourself "what a nerd." This guy claims they are using computers and special film on the clothing and radio frequencies to change the colors. I personally believe the outfits are stacked on top of each other and she just rips themoff and the old outfit is gathered in the sheet or confetti that was used to cenceal her. That guy has an incredible imagination though. I dont think a "quick change: has the budget of NASA......

There is a great one at:
http://www.youtube.com/v/RB-wUgnyGv0
I have watched it several times and have come to the conclusion that it was done by using hologram which was activated after she went in front of the screen in her first costume before the first change of clothing.
--- (there was a gap between the screen and the "tarp"which you can see at the beginning of the video)--- The rest of it was just a "video" shown as a hologram. Sometimes his shadow would show up on the screen but her's wouldn't.
