Yea...not only are girls loosing it, but boys are too...but the boys dont really matter as society would say...because they're boys. I think that they are loosing their virginity earlier because they think that they are so in love with someone and then they just end up having sex with them, some of them do not have high morals let alone morals at all...they just want it because it is something that feels good and if they go up to any male they can get it, some of them dont like themselves or if they go out on a date they feel that is the way to pay the guy back, I think that some of it is peer pressure also...because they see their peers doing it...and some are just curious about what would happen or how it feels so they wanna experiment...with me...I lost my in the 10th grade to this one boy that I thought I was in love with...but I havent went all the way around the world...I have only had 2 sexual partners and im still with the second so...but some girls also get brainwashed into thinking that someone loves them or they think that no one loves or cares them so if they go out and have sex with someone that will be showing that they care...I dont know what is wrong with society's girls nowadays.

My grandmother lost her virginity at 15 was that to young? She was also married to the same man for 62 years. The problem today is adults ( parents ) have no morals. We are teaching our kids to take care of themselves at a younger age. Most families today are either single parents or both parents are at work, I know in most cases there isn't a choice but if we are treating our kids as young adults before they are mature enough this should be expected. Till death do us part doesn't mean much these days how about those morals. We need to practice what we preach, talk to our kids, and pray that they listen. They are going to do what they want, we can only hope that they make the right choices and support them regardless

Each person is differnt but here is my take on it!
First girls are maturing faster then in the past.
Second I think lack of education is a BIG problem and the current GOV administration wants no education on this subject.
Third, parents have to be involved, and be open to the decisions their daughter makes, with proper guidance I think that most girls will understand the importance of holding on until THEY feel it is right.
I feel so sorry for young girls who think that to keep a boy or to have a boyfriend it HAS to involve sex. This is a BIG peer pressure issue, inflicted more by the boys then the girl peers.
Great question!

I lost my virginity at 14...that was back in the day. I am soooo sad to hear of all the young kids that are having sex. I truly think that a lot of it has to do with peer pressure, the need to feel accepted and wanted, the attention and affection and a means to conform to today's society. I don't think it is viewed as "sacred" as it use to be. It is vey unfortunate.

Unfortunately i think it is a combination of factors...Society these days for one is more accepting of it. And compared to when I was a teen and my parents were in there teens I believe there is less supervision from parents, more and more both work and not always a parent home at all times. And as bad as I hate to say it influenced by the media. Just like divorce was taboo yrs ago and is just another thing these days, society has become more laid back and it is not always a good thing.

Yes to all the above. Morality is no longer an issue as it was in years gone by. Movies, DVDs, show sex to be OK in today's society. Unfortunately it is "acceptible" for girls to lose their virginity almost as "the norm" and when girls are bombarded by the "it is OK" mentality I believe it to be wrong. It is OK to say NO!!! But then, in the end, the choice comes down to the lady herself be be or not to be a virgin.

losing virginity is not immoral ,, when it is the right time you should do it but for a girl or a boy is not good to loose it in a very early age. I am not a virgin and not married and it doesnt make me any less than others ..I had many partners in the past , we ha d sex and we dated and it didnt work out . there is nothing wrong for a woman to have sex and enjoys her life

people dont seem to think that there is anything wrong with letting their kids dress up as adults at earlier ages. some is peer pressure
have you noticed what there is out there for really young kids (preteens) to wear? i freak when mine want to look like a hooker just coming in from a full nights work. some people might find it ok for their kids to look like that, but to me, thats inviting trouble.
most of the problem is that parents dont spend time with their kids. they leave that to someone else who may or may not have the same ideas on kids that they do. also there is no discipline for most kids.
america has the most spoiled, self centered kids, and it is the parents fault. they arent taught anything else but me, me, me.
its about time parent took back some control and kept their own kids off the streets and actually pay some attention to what is going on in their kid's worlds. once you really do open your eyes, you might really be surprised.
kids today face things like the drugs and the casual sex as normal. we didnt have that when we were growing up. we were allowed to be kids. todays kids arent allowed to be kids. from the time they are small,, they are dressed up and expected to act like small adults. a good example is jonbenet ramsey. think about it. how much makeup were you allowed to wear when you were small? how much pressure was on you to only look your best and make sure that daddy was pleased no matter what it took? how much pressure was put on kids to always look their best and beauty pageants were what were the most important thing in your life?
i say let a kid be a kid. let them be normal and let them learn about sex when they are old enough to know what it means and old enough to be able to deal with it.
i dont expect my kids to be perfect. i dont expect my kids to be anything other than a kid. the pressures on kids today is unreal. some dont even see their parents for weeks at a time. how can you be a good parent when you dont even know what your child is doing or thinking or seeing every day?
i blame the parents for the mess. if people would actually be parents instead of trying to be their kid's friend, their kids would be more able to talk to them about the issues that are popping up in their lives.

I think the media has some part to do with it because a parent can control there kids all they want to but if they want to do it they will find a way. I think Hollywood makes sexy look so sexy and the kids of today want to try it.
You only get one shot at losing your virginity so make you sure it is with a person you love cause you can't get it back.

Thought : Childbirth used to be common at a young age a couple millenia ago. Maybe society itself is the one with the problem - not the girls?
