HAHA, I did! I thought I was crazy! I took the Flintstones with vitamin C (now called immunity plus or something) I took 3 vitamins every day, and you know I like the flavor so much I still do. The ones with iron don't taste good, but the iron was what made me sick with the prenatal viatmins, so....just make sure you eat healthy foods. But my son turned out fine with the Flintstones. He is definitely a Flinstone kid!

The same thing happened to my friend with her prenatal vitamins and she took the flintstone vitamins without a hitch. She has a healthy, spirited 4 1/2 year old little girl to prove it.

Yes I took them when I was pregnant with both of my kids because the prenatal vitamins made me really sick. The doctor told me to take Flintstones vitamins.

Prenatals made me very sick. I was told by my physician, as long as I was eating a good well-balanced diet I did not need the prenatal vitamins. I quit taking them, and my baby and myself were healthy and happy. Don't start taking any vitamins without talking to your physician first. Eat a well-balanced diet! Congratulations.

You need the folic acid, but your almost done anyway...if you werent taking prenatals before and in early pregnancy than you werent helping to prevent birth defects, that develop in early pregnancy. Your prenatals arent going to help you much now but you should still take them. If they are making you sick then you must have never really taken a daily vitamin before, your body isnt used to all the nutrients its getting from the prenatals and its making you sick. Try this...cut your prenatals in half and take one half in the morning (with food) and the other half with supper, always take with food especially if they are making you sick...my older sis had to take them like that because they made her sick when she took a whole one...they are horse pillls arent they? I had no problem with mine even though i never took vitamins before, your baby is whats important though, atleast your trying to take some form of vitamin....but really...try the half and half thing and dont be thinking about how you might get sick...you'll end up making yourself sick that way.

No, I took regular prenatal vitamins... but I distinctly remember my doctor telling me that Flintstone vitamins were a good alternative.

That's awesome! The most important thing in vitamins (other than folic acid for pregnancy) is how well they are assimilated into your system. So I'd also suggest looking into "whole food vitamins" which are derived from whole food sources and not chemicals. They will be easier on your stomach - although not necessarily easier on your pocketbook!

No, but my second pregnancy I didn't take any supplements at all and gave birth to an 8 lb. 6 oz. healthy baby boy. (Who is now 1 and a half and is wearing a 4T... He's a friggin monster!) The Dr. even tried to get me to take Prescription Iron pills because he said I was anemic. Phhhttt.. whatever.
