I hate it!!! I make goals, and I don't accomplish them or at least I don't get it done in time. This has costed me a lot, from money to even good grades to even really good Trading Cards I wanted. Can someone give me advice/tips on how to stop and prevent procrastination/laziness once and for all. What's even worse is that people are going starting to notice that I'm getting lazy and I'm not prioritizing right. I spend so much time on nonimportant stuff. Someone help me!!! I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Consider this issue you have as being a healthy one for now. Just for now. You see, procrastination is nothing but a series of distractions. It isn't the fact that the distractions exist, and are TELLING you to do them instead of that necessary thing. It is that your mind is a wanderer, and you find something interesting in whatever you come across. This is healthy. What the question is then, is a question of priority. When you are engaged in a task, and you become distracted by something else, then you are allowing the distraction to take precedence over the task. That is the extent of the mechanism behind it. What has to happen is that you must be given a more-than-reasonable (in your opinion) explanation as to why the task should not be subject to distraction. Real life demands that things like going to work, making money, and paying the bills get precedence over the fun of daydreaming or doing the hobbies you like best.
Laziness is not the same as procrastinating. Laziness implies a LACK of interest; quite the opposite. If you are lazy, then it is either a learned thing, or a result of an external agent (drug usage, a single priority that overrides all other, etc.). To combat this is much easier, since you can highlight the thing that is making you lazy. If you simply have no interest in your surroundings, you might be on the road to depression, and I suggest contacting your doctor.
The simple fact is that you posted this question, which means that you are willing to stop that which is causing you grief because others are GIVING you grief. Knowing your enemy is the first step in winning the battle. You must determine what is the most important thing for RIGHT NOW - the best time to do something is the present moment. You can even reward yourself for doing something less-fun, by getting it done quickly and effectively (so you don't have to do it again), and then do what you really want to do for a spell.
There is a time and place for everything, and the truly intelligent person knows when that is.

You see yourself as a procrastinator/ lazy person. Therefore you act like one. Motivate yourself everyday. By saying am going to do this and doing it.

Put electrical alligator clips on the ends of your fingers. Then, everytime you slack off, have someone shock the frickin' hell out of you! I'd imagine you'd be doing things in a prioritized fashion in no time flat.

i write my goals on a dry erase board. i split the board in half with a marker. on one side is long term goals, on the other side is what i want to do within a week. i also put an inspiring quote about procrastination. last thing is i put it somewhere where must see it everyday. for me its beside my bed.

last thing is procrastinating isnt being lazy. its saying to yourself that doing your task another time would be better. next time you catch yourslef saying it to your, say the nike slogan, just do it.

i'm glad to see there's a drive in you to want to be more organized and get things done....just do it now....it may be hard the first time, but once you get an assignment, start working on it instead of putting it to the last minute...get rid of the "i have time" mentality and do as much as you can....prioritizing the right thing is discipline, and you have to discipline yourself to do that....i'm so happy to see that you want to change....proud of you =)...

You could join procrastinator's anonymous, but I haven't started it yet.

Seriously though? Set realistic goals, stick to them, get off the oh so addictive internet.

In theory anyway, I swear i'll try it next week.
