I can never understand that.
People always seem to hate me whenever I talk.

maybe, just maybe, you are an opposition type of person.. meaning, opposing every idea presented to you and always verbalizing it.. people don't like it when their ideas are opposed, that's human nature.. other than that, I can't think of anything else why people hate you when you talk and prefer you to shut up.

People generally like people who are quiet because it's the mystery of trying to figure out that person. Whenever a quiet person speaks people pay more attention and try to figure out who and how they are (habits, likes, tastes, etc.) Try listening more than speaking.

Perhaps your verbal offerings tend to be less than stimulating. Perhaps your words clearly demonstrate that you are not likeable. Perhaps you should stop asking them for money.

They just like it when you are a good listener. It gives them the sense that you really care about them and are interested in them.
