You had something bad for dinner, maybe Sushi? and have a severe case of diarrhea. You're exhausted from being up all night, and it hasn't gotten any better! You're still in severe pain !!, and the diarrhea just won't seem to stop! But a friend is bringing you something on their lunch break, ( because you're afraid to leave the house to get something yourself, even for that short period of time ) until then, you need to stay by the pot !

Your blood sugars are elevated so your doctor told you to stay home and really monitor them for 24 hours period so he can rule out diabetes.
You discovered this because you were suffering from really blurry vision and were having to go pee alot -- so you called him and he said to go to walgreens and get a glucose monitor and to stay down and remove yourself from any kind of even day-to-day stress so you can check these blood sugars every hour on the hour and then report back to him.
This has you really perplexed -- and a bit worried, but the doctor assured you that it could be just an abnormal spike and nothing to really be concerned with -- but he does want to rule out diabetes -- which is an epidemic in our country.
So you need to stay down, rest, avoid even the stress of your job and monitor the blood sugars for the next 24 hour period. You'll keep them apprised again after you have reported to your doctor and he has cleared you to return to work.

Say you got computeritis. That is where your fingers are stuck to the keyboard and your face to the monitor. Anyway you are going to lie so make the best of it. :)
Don't be surprised when you go back to work and find someone else sitting at your desk doing your work.

I went to the gym yesterday and lifted too much weight. My body is ridiculously sore today and I can barely move. I can come in if you really need me to but, I don't think I can be of much help.
