Can they really help people's health? How does it work? Something to do with the sun?

No of course they can't help people's health. It is a scam to sell rocks to gullible people who are totally ignorant of science and medicine. It is nothing but witchcraft planned to take money form the gullible.

Did you ever stop to wonder why none of these charlatans ever tells you that your healing crystal is granite or sand or sugar? It's because they can't sell you those things at ridiculously inflated prices.

It is amazing that anybody in the 21st century can still believe in this Dark Ages quackery.

I think the only way it could affect your health is if the colors of the stones affect your mood, or if you grind the rocks into a powder and take it as a dietary supplement. The color theory seems intriguing, though. One of our teachers suggested that we study with a piece of paper that was our favorite color by our side because she heard it was supposed to be good for us. It was only that one teacher that did that though, so it might not be true. Gemstones are nice to look at though! Have a good night!

They work as good as any placebo--assuming you believe they work.

Sloan-Kettering Medical Institute has an incredible website where they list almost every type of medical intervention, traditional and otherwise, and make a serious attempt to present all known information without bias if it has a scientific basis. After I post this I'll look it up.

The gemstones work if the person believes they work. The mind is a powerful thing. If you merely hope they work, they probably won't.

Absolute rubbish. I should be the healthiest guy in the world as I have spent my whole working life a gem merchant surrounded by precious stones and I still get my share of colds etc.
