The top two film schools in the movie capital of the world are the University of Southern California (USC) and UCLA. Not only are they close to the source, but the guest lecturers and industry contacts are contributing factors.
HOWEVER -- some of the best directors in the world have come from other campuses, or didn't finish college. Notable: Steven Spielberg, who dropped out of Cal State Long Beach (aka Long Beach State University).

If shifting to a clean city and attending a movie software isn't at present a probability for then you definately i could recommend that you watch director's commentaries on DVDs. they regularly communicate how the executed certain seems and moods on movie as well and all style of different desirable and functional information. you could also purchase some books on cinematography and filmmaking mostly. The more effective you commence to imagine like a filmmaker the swifter you'd be one. when you've accrued some skills then get your self a digital camera and commence to shoot. you could edit truly really on your computing gadget and then upload it to diverse web pages and commence to generate buzz. I actually have a masters degree in movie and that i found my movie college preparation very functional because I shot a large type of flicks and made a large type of contacts, besides the undeniable fact that it truly is honestly no longer the in straightforward words thanks to bypass about it. reliable success!

Go around... meet and observe people... who else can teach you about life (the subject of your film) if not the society that you move in?
Universities will feed you theories and techniques that you will eventually learn outside the school. But nobody can teach you life, other than actually experiencing it.
I guess that's what lacking filmmakers today... they have been too engrossed with the technicalities of film making that they lose the human side of their subjects
