Theoretically neighborhoods should not be black or white or any other racial or ethnic group.
Biracial marriages and therefore biracial children are now becoming fairly commonplace. While some people do discriminate against them they are wrong to do so.
I would call the children human. Neither black nor white--simply human. I happen to be white, but that was an accident of birth, not a result of me being anything special by virtue of my birth.
Whatever I am or have become is the result of what has happened since and that is the way we should see all people.

My mother is black and my dad is white. We live in a mostly white neighborhood, although there are some black families and a few that are like mine. Nobody seems to have a problem with it. My mother use to consider me black. This type of thinking dates back to slavery. Usually, a biracial baby would become a slave, especially if their mother was black. The rule was if the mother is black, then so is the baby. I on the other hand don't consider myself black or white, I'm both and I try to be me, so I don't really act black or white. (Although I have found myself teaming up with black issues against white issues from time to time.) But obviously, not every biracial family lives like mine, but this is just one example. Hope this helps.

Biracial families are normal. I see them everywhere. I am in a biracial marriage my children will be Egyptian and White. I think all biracial children should know their roots on both sides. These days racial division in most neighborhoods is obsolete.

Can't speak for everyone, but It isn't any body's place to have a problem with it. Sure, everyone entitled to his or her own opinion... but nobody has to give a crap what that opinion is!
As for the kids: Actually, they're rarely called "black." Usually children of biracial couples are called mulatto

This is an intresting question. I believe they should be called black because of the simple fact that black is the dominant gene. But the individual has the right to live as a black or a white person. We are all God's children and He loves us all just the same no matter what color we call ourselves.

We decided to quit using color, any color as a description of us or anyone else. We are the refrigerator people. There are ice box people. Those are those who said forget the job and shove it move out of cities and revert to an older mode of living where you do not have to pay your electric bill. So I am a refrigerator person. My son is a self generating mini fridge person with the camping but a refrigerator person just like everyone else, too. Some people are neither refrigerator people or ice box. There is the cooler people too. Which are you? Of course our children haven't chosen what kind of people they want to be... that's still open.

I think many social changes have occured for the better. But we
human beings, regardless of race, religion, politics, etc..are not
as fully evolved as we'd hoped we'd be by now. And I don't think
we will ever "be as one". There is to much diversity in this world.
But the wise person will look past these things. There is nothing
wrong with mixing races. God does not look at our skin color as
a bad thing...He created us all. It's a shame when any color or
whatever, is being biased automatically. I believe blending of our
races brings us together as a nation. United we stand...Divided
we fall. That's the truth.

I take it you do not live in the US. Bi-racial couples are still somewhat of a novelty thought the numbers are increasing.
We do have some racist scum in the US who are hateful bigots. Christians are too frequently among them.
We have three bi-racial couples and several children in our extended family and they are all delightful.
It is against the law to discriminate and try to prevent people from living in any neighborhood based on race, religion, national origin, etc. If you are a victim of discrimination, the Federal government will send investigators and attorneys to fight for you and you can collect money for any discrimination.
I have been involved in discrimination suits and won.

First, it's spelled n-e-i-g-h-b-o-r-h-o-o-d. Jesus christ.
Second, yes we call them black, and they probably will want to be called black.
Even white kids want to be black like 50 cent and p. diddy..
And many hate the other race, but won't admit it. Most people in the white neighborhood hate blacks. Most people in the black neighborhood hate whites. SHHHHHHHH! NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT.
