Well I got by belly button pierced about 6 months ago and it STILL has NOT healed up! Well I got the ring instead of the usual barbell and Im wondering maybe that is the case? Well ive noticed that it is dark around it and its like a bumble around the ring. White stuff does come out of it. I clean my belly ring once a day, should I clean it out more often? Help its not healing!

well dont clean it more than twice a day! its not good to overclean it! try dettol antiseptic mixed wit lukewarm water. i got the same prob before and when i cleaned it wit dettol it got better, then got worst when i forgot to clean it wit dettol. a pierced belly buton takes 6 to 12 months to actually heal completely

You should clean it wayyyy more than that. Like 3-6 times a day - while working the ring through the hole over and over.
It sounds infected and irritated. Try some hydrocortizone so that your skin won't form keloids from the stress it was put under and the swelling can go down. Keep ringing the ring through your piercing hole. Keep working it through to encourage it to heal around the ring and not ON the ring.
Use lots of alcohol and peroxide when dealing with your ring. You don't want to introduce more germs.
Clean the skin AND the steel ring as your ring it through. This is get some of the peroxide and medicine through to the infected part. This is what I did when my belly piercing was like that and it took weeks, but I didn't end up having to go to the doctor.
Try to keep it covered and away from other germs during the day - even if you have to use a bandage that has medicine on it. Neosporin is "okay," on some people's skin. It encouraged my hole to heal faster.
However, you should get professional help with it if it persist. Ask your doctor about antibiotic gels you can put on topically or take orally to help the infection.

What are you cleaning it with? try seasalt or bactine. Don't use rubbing alcohol or perixide....all it does is irritate it. Also, put some neosporin on it overnight tonight (or a crushed aspirin into a paste) and see how it looks in the morning. If you don't see a dramatic change, see a doctor. (It isn't going to heal overnight, but you will see a difference)
And the bubble is a keloid or scar tissue, it happens with a high percentage of belly piercings.

It takes awile to heal, especially if your belt line rubs against it. the guys at my piercing parlor told me 6-9 months and to clean it twice daily with anti-bacterial soap. Mine took awhile becaue my uniform duty belt sat right at the piercing sight. If it still oozes, then have a doctor check it out. Good luck.

Use basitracin (sorry about the spelling) if that does not work you could be allergic to the metal I had to take my ear ring out cause I was allegic to all the metals.

You should be cleaning it twice a day and you should have a doctor look at it or go to the piercing parlor and have them look at it.
