I just met some new friends at my workplace. All of a sudden everyone is asking everybody's age.
I lied when they asked me, I am always afraid of questions like this and I am not comfortable.
So is it ok even though I told them I was 5 months older then my actual age???

5 months difference? Thats's nothing... I hate it when people ask my age cuz 1-It's rude 2-Its none of their business.
Luckily I look younger than my age. So when I was 20 people thought I was 16 and I let them think it.
When I was worked in an office, People thought I looked 21 so I let them think that. Each year I just remember my "age" and added to it. I've changed jobs 3 times and each time I restart my clock to whatever is believeable and count from there. I've been 23 for a while now. I forget how old I really am now... But, I'll just say you are only as old as you feel.

Not really.. I mean, it's not that big of a deal that you made a white lie. It's maybe a bit of an issue that you feel the need to lie about something you don't need to in the least little bit. Your age is your age. Nothing to be ashamed of.

No - because when your birthday comes around, you will forget that you lied.
And then they will realize you lied about your age.
Its always best to tell the truth. Lies catch up with you.
Next time someone asks your age, make a joke
"ha ha younger that you!' or something.

what is to be ashamed of your age? if you look younger than your age you should be proud of it..i guess! but if you look older than your age you better tell them your real age...
