I am a high school career counselor and you're going to be limited by the number of hours you can work and many employers prefer hiring someone older. And most businesses can't hire anyone under the age of 16. With that said, consider going to small businesses (small mom and pop shops), local delis (sub shops), etc. ... and perhaps being a sign spinner on a corner (you could earn $10 and hour). The small businesses tend to be more liberal on who they hire (most sign spinning jobs will hire a 14 year old) ...
And as long as you show you're mature, have a pleasant & positive attitude and be mindful how you dress employers will take you seriously and possibly offer you a job. You may get a lot of NOs before you find an employer who says "yes". This is all part of the growing process. Do your best to maintain a positive attitude and smile :>)
Always try to make a good first impression.
I hope this information helps ...

There are some supermarkets that will hire you at the age of 15.
you wont be able to work many hours maybe 3-4 hours max after school.
I see many young people working at the New york Public library.
You may also go to Sang a job.com and see if they have any positions for you.
Otherwise you can contact the youth employment line .
Call 311 to get the number or on your computer type in YOUTH EMPLOYMENT.
I'm glad to hear that you are young and interested in being productive.
Good Luck in your future Endeavors!
Don't give up!

well im 15 and currently cleaning tables at a restaurant. babysit does pay good but its not really stable. u can go to restaurants and talk to managers if they need hosts, my friend did that, and just because ur a gurl it makes that much easyer for someone to hier u. just make sure u dont go to a restaurant in a middle of a dessert where a car drives by every 30 minutes. lol.

You could work at a supermarket, at a fast food outlet, you could be a check out chick for somewhere like target or similar. Lots of options for you!

it would all depend on where you live as there are laws that prevent people under the age of 16 working at some jobs

If there's a flea market anywhere near you, check to see if any of the vendors need weekend help. I did that from 13-16.
