It depends on the weight

A normal letter weighing 1 ounce or less (a vast majority of letters) will cost you one $.39 stamp.

A letter weighing 2 ounces costs $.63 so you will need one $.39 stamp plus $.24 extra in stamps.

If you are sending a first class letter (under 1 oz.) from within the USA you need 39 cents.. if it is a larger package or if you are not in the USA it depends on weight.

where are you sending it from, Ohio? from overseas?

If it's sent within the USA you need only one stamp.

From where? What size is the envelope? Larger envelopes (like hallmark card envelopes) require more postage.
