How do I know I'm gonna get what I paid for! What if they send me something totally different from what I ordered? Have you used eBay?

eBay is really all based on trust. You can't trust everyone. The feedback system is a good idea but is not flawless. In some situtations you can be reimbursed for the type of situation you are talking about. I have used eBay for almost 3 years. I have enjoyed the experience and don't regret it. Everyone can have their own experience using the online marketplace. A few suggestions I have are:

#1- Always look at feedback. This is your MAIN background info about that seller. Even if feedback is 100%, if it is low it still can't always be trusted.

#2- Always look at the shipping cost. You may think you are getting a good deal only to find the shipping be absurd.

#3- Take prompt action if a situation like you described ever occurs. PayPal can sometimes be helpful and other times not so helpful.

GOOD LUCK!

I buy and sell on ebay. It's great! Use sellers who have a fairly large rating and is at least 98% positive. Be sure to watch for added shipping and handling charges. They are working on cutting down on those. Most sellers want to treat you very fairly so you'll come back again. Heck, I bought a camper off ebay this summer and it's been super!

I've bought and sold on eBay a number of times and never had any problem. Read eBay's Terms of Service and other information which you can find at eBay's website.

I have been cheated by sellers on eBay
despite their high positive feedback.

Dont trust eBay`s Compensation Scheme - it
does not work.

if you are buying for the first time, try buyin from more reputable sellers, aka those with more positive feedbacks from other users. this way, u can feel assured of getting the right item and wouldn't be afraid of paying and not getting your item.

Use a credit card, or even better paypal.

They include certian securities.

Pay attention to feedback, anything under 99% and run away.

Yup. i think they're safe. You could always check the reliability of the seller in e-bay. There's this percentage thing that you can check once you click on the seller's name...
