here is a simple answer. It doesn't sound like any idle control or a vacuum line. If it was, then you would be running rough and the car would be reluctant to start. you might check your ABS sensor. if you have had a fender bender or maybe the wire might be loose it will cause your car to completely shut down when at a complete stop. if it's a loose wire simple fix. If not you could bypass it by disconnecting it. I wouldn't suggest doing the bypass for an extended period and by no means is it a safe solution. In any case i hope this helps.

does the idle drop while braking? it seems like you may have a broken vacuum line, when stopping, it is possible that the brakes are pulling vacuum from the engine, which because of a leak, it makes the engine die. Also it may be that the pick-up in the fuel tank is broken, so that when you hit the brakes the fuel sloshes to the front of the tank, thereby shutting off the fuel supply until the car stops at which time it starts again. if it is a manual transmission, you may have a nuetral start switch malfunction, when you place it in nuetral and brake, there may be a short that kills the motor.

THE CKS provides the CRANK place on each and every rotation, and the IAC effective tunes the quantity of AIR getting into the engine! ability WASH ENINE and save ALL issues sparkling! Use in basic terms guy made oil like MOBIL ONE to ward off SLUDGE from ever forming on high priced sensors and such!

Sounds like your idle speed is to low, or the throttle plate is sticking.
