Well, since the preseason has barely started, Everyone officially "stands a chance" but the Jets have some overwhelming odds to conquer.

1. Offensive stability - will they have a reliable QB? Will Curtis Martin be effective?

2. Coaching - Eric Mangini is one of the most intelligent coaches in football, but does he have the ability to turn around the team with the cards he has in place?

3. Division Strength - No matter how well the Jets may be playing, are they better than N.E. or Miami? Both teams improved during the offseason.

4. Attitude - Can this team of individuals bring it together? Based on the poor performance last year, will a 2-4 start cause this team to give up? Goes back to coaching a bit.

So as you can see, the Jets stand a chance, but it's quite the feat. (If you're a baseball fan, think of them as the Brewers, a team that's improving and on the cusp of being good again).

there have been contenders earlier they have been given Cromartie and Tomlinson and Holmes and (curiously) Jason Taylor. and don't assume them to leave that hollow at unfastened protection open very long. in the event that they may well be sure a thank you to get some intensity on the DE rotation and on the offensive line i does no longer be in any respect shocked to work out them commerce the farm for Eric Berry. I basically wish this Jets team is for genuine.

As long as the Hawks still have a powerful Offence Jets don't stand a chance... Because the Patriots are still awesome, maybe the Steelers....

For sure. If Kellen Clemons get's a chance to play, he will show everybody he is the next Joe Montana. I could be a bit biased though, due to currently attending the Univ. of Oregon.

They stand a chance of finishing third ahead of the Bills, but that's about it.
