The whole situation doesn't sound too healthy.

You say he controls your decisions (which he couldn't if you didn't let him), but then you say he gets mad when you push him into a new relationship (who wouldn't get aggravated at that). Then you say he doesn't encourage you to get into new relationships with girls (that's not his job, and he apparently doesn't believe in involving himself in other guy's relationships with girls). I'm not defending it, but a lot of people are bossy and controlling.

Maybe you should dial back the relationship with this person a little bit. Still be friends, but maybe cut back on how much time you spend together. If you cut back on time together maybe whatever he's doing that you don't like won't bother you as much, or else maybe you'll begin to drift (which may not be such a bad thing).

That doesn't sound too good to me...
I think you should sit down and have an honest talk to him, that way you should be able to figure out what sort of friends you are to each other. Ask him, for instance, why doesn't he want to have a gf and why doesn't he want you to have one either? Do you think he might be liking you as a guy? That's also a possibility, you have to admit it. But maybe he doesn't have too many friends besides you and he is just afraid of loosing your friendship. Which is not very good either. I guess it's up to you to decide what you want from this friendship. If you feel that he is always interfering with your life, maybe you need to take some distance from him.
