i had heard rumors and then researched on the net yesterday that gas prices were going to drastically increase today. Thankfully they did not. BUT last night i called everyone i knew and told them that it was being predicted that gas prices were going to jump today and that they should go get gas while the price was still only $3.05 a gallon. So a lot did. Of course the price didn't jump, which is a great thing, but now some are PO'd at me because they went and filled up. i personally don't feel like i need to apoligize to anyone, cause i was trying to help. And it's not like i just made it up, it was reported on yahoo and msnbc (just 2 of the places i saw it). But i have been told that i should apoligize. So want opinions if you think i should or not. Please give reasons why or why not. Thanks in advance. Please serious answers only. Thanks

I would have appreciated the help. What if they had gone up and you had not told anyone. Then they would be pissed as well. some people you just can't make happy.
In the long run they are saving money. It may not have gone up today, but you know it will soon enough!

well, gas is gonna go up because it just does (and they are closing alaskin pipeline?), so they can just eat it. they were gonna pay for the gas eventually. maybe a short "whoops, guess it wasnt as overnight as the news reported" but that's as far as necessary?? i mean the gas literally goes up like every week (least it does here) sooo filling up completely is always a good idea cause those prices are climbin on up!!

I dont think you owe anyone an apoligy ! you wer just trying to give ppl heads up on whats going on .. I think its a good idea to feel up anyway cuz here in texas prices go up every few days ..I dont see what the big deal is.. sooner or later they wer gonna hav to fill up anyway lol ppl are crazed dont trip girl ..id have to say thanks for looking out ! I dont see anything wrong with what u done..

Well,the gas prices keep going up and down.Were am at it's 2.99 all the way up to 3.05.My Question is when are you and I going to start liven?They should bring it down gust to be nice.We can all wish.

So the question is if you should apologize or not. What the heck?? Just say you are sorry if you inconvenienced them and don't do it again. They will get off your butt and you can forget about the whole thing. IT was their choice no matter what you said though.

Apologize to no one its not like they werent going to need gas anyways. And if they prices did go up they would be telling you how great your are. Shake them haters off!

You didn't do anything wrong. They all have minds of their own. They took your advice, it's on them. I personally would not apologize. It's going to go up. If not today, then tomorrow.
