Can someone explain why I have a lot of Scorpio traits when I'm a Gemini?

My sun sign is Gemini and both my rising and moon signs are Capricorn, but I have a lot of Scorpio traits such as a penetrating gaze that even my Scorpio mother finds unnerving, a fascination with anything mysterious, fierce loyalty to family & friends, and I'm very vengeful.

To Annie (Level 4): I don't stare randomly at my mother. Lol. If she or anyone makes me angry I glare at them, which tends to make them back off.

Is there an unaspected planet? An elevated planet? Where is the chart ruler in the chart and what aspects does it make?

Are there any intercepted planets and/or signs in the chart? Are there linked houses in the chart?

What signs are on each of the 12 house cusps? Where are the planetary rulers of each house placed and what aspects do they make?

Some of your deviation away from what is considered a "typical Gemini" can indeed be attributed to the Scorpio Moon placement. I recently saw someone ask a similar question. Basically the Scorpio Moon adds a level of maturity and emotions to the otherwise childlike, emotionally distant Gemini. In other words, while you can commit to something more easily than a typical Gemini, you are likely to be much more emotional. A Gemini with Scorpio Moon cares more what other people think about them than a traditional Gemini. As coincidence may have it, I am also a Gemini with a Scorpio Moon. Consequently, most people don't know I am a Gemini Sun until they ask, or they get to know me very well. I also have Capricorn Ascendant, which makes me appear even more mature, physically and mentally. My work ethic is rock solid (pun completely intended), and I am more or less knowledgeable in many subjects. I, like you am considered witty, and I have a good sense of humor. I get jokes that tend to go over other peoples heads. You and I are two of a kind. The esteemed more mature, serious Gemini.

If you have a lot of planets in the house that is governed by Scorpio, or strong aspects to Pluto, that could give you more of a Scorpio nature. Also, many of the traits you are mentioning are not unique to Scorpios. The Capricorn influence in the Moon can be very powerful. Capricorn is a Cardinal earth sign. A Capricorn Moon can be very cold and revengeful as well as very nurturing and loyal. If you are under the age of 30, you take on more of the traits of your Moon sign than you do your Sun sign. With your rising sign also in Capricorn, I would imagine you have very beautiful eyes, but you likely have a look that would stop the strongest Scorpio in his or her tracks.

Even though you were born under Gemini, which is considered your sun sign, there's also a moon sign, which is a second sign that you were born under. Which could possibly be Scorpio. Scorpios use the gaze knowingly, but capricorn-like people tend to be more unaware of their own, equally strong, gaze. in my experience. Vengeance is also something scorpios struggle with;but it's something capricorns do, without so much struggle!haha again in my experience. And your mom might've raised you to speak like her scorpio ***. As for mystery, all geminis like to learn, and capricorn's not usually mysterious, but sometimes, is into mystery, because it's one thing their practical mind can't explain.

Astrology is nonsense, and every bit as prejudiced as claiming that all people of a given race, age, gender, etc. should act a certain way. I can't understand how in the hell anyone can buy into it, in this day and age. Your personality is developed based on reactions to elements in your environment. It has nothing to do with what month you're born in.

You may have alot of planets in Scorpio in your astrological chart. Capricorns can also have a very intense gaze, and they are also very loyal. Scorpios are not always that loyal, they can tend to be very secretive.
