Korea belonged to Japan at the time and Koreans served in the Japanese army like the Japanese themselves.
There are many reports by Japanese camp survivors, that the Korean guards were the worst: cruel, sadistic and primitive.

I don't know what the above two people are talking about. Korea was OCCUPIED by Japan. This occupation was especially brutal and in one revolt againt Japanese rule, over 7,000 Koreans were killed. The Japanese had a very negative affect on Korean language and culture. During World War II, tens of thousands of men were forced to fight in the Japanese military and 200,000 Korean and Chinese women were forced to be sex slaves to the Japanese military.
The Japanese occupation was so brutal that even today, in 2006, there is still much anti-Japanese sentiment in Korea. Read my source for more detailed information.

Not many, only the few cowards who chose to cuddle under the japanese teat and avoid persecution. The vast majority were our heroes who fought the oppressive japanese whores to the very death with guerilla tactics.. We are a people that can never be conquered. Japs are cowards who attack us whenever we are at a state of peace. Pusses.
