when you go to a gginecologist in the U.S., are yourparents allowed in if you're under 18? and do they get to know everyhting from the doctor? or is everything done in private? i started my sexual life and i'm not too sure i'm a virgin, so if my mom takes me to a general control, is the doctor gonna tell her everything? or is it gonna be private just between us?

If you tell them not to tell and they tell you have a law suite. They can't tell! The only way they can tell is if your give them permission or if you life is in danger. Otherwise it's illegal for them to to tell.

this varies from state to state. most states require that a parent be informed if you are going to receive any sort of treatment (because they have to consent to it). also, if you are under your parents' insurance, your gynecologist visit will show up on their bill.
secondly, i know i am not your mother, but why are you sexually active at such a young age? i am a perfectly normal person living in the US (i know most people won't consider this to be normal...but really, it IS possible to control your hormones) and actually managed to remain virgin until marriage. and i married my virgin boyfriend of 6 years.
well, regardless of your sexual activity, just remember to be safe.
and btw, what do you mean "i'm not too sure i'm a virgin"? either you are or aren't.

This is why the government started the HIPPA law. The law states that unless u put their name down, the doc cannot say a word. The only time they can is if your life is in danger(ie: I've been molested, i get beat everyday, ect....). You are safe with info u give to the doc.

Be careful with that if you dont want your parents to know. I told my doctor and she ended up telling my mom the next day.

I am pretty sure that your parents are allowed to know since you are a minor and they will have to schedule the appointment since you are on their insurance and you arent 18 yet

first of all you know weither or not your a virgin, if you had a mans thing in your hole then your not. And as far a i know he has to tell you parents because they are your legal gardians but you might be able to talk him out of it.

just be sure to inform ur doctor and make it clear to them not to mention any thing of that sort to ur mother and under the law the can't and wont inform ur mother

~~if you go to a gyne, you don't have to have your mother in with you and you can ask the doctor to keep things between you and the doctor, most ethical doctors will keep their mouth shut and keep things private.~~

i think if you are under eighteen is he legally bound to tell your parents whatever is said or goes on. and what do you mean you are not sure if you are a virgin?? either you have had sex or you have'nt. it's not one of those things you easily forget.

Doctor-Patient confidentiality. Unless it's somthing dire, I don't think they HAVE to know.
