Short answer. Without a doubt. The US. In just about every aspect except sheer manpower. But the US against the World? The world wins.

It depends on how you define power, and how the power is used. In some ways the US is one of the least powerful countries, becuase in our position of power, other countries are jealous and try to undermine our power, namingly France, and Russia.
We are add odds against the rest of the world, and there are more of them than us, and they are getting nukes. It's a cold sober thought, but I'm afraid it's true. If the US doesn't wake up to reality, and start paying attention to the reality of the situation we are in we may be doomed. So I don't think we are that powerful. Also Russia is in a strategic position, and alignnment with China and other nations that threatens the middle east. Watch Russia closely, and you will see that Russia is behind alot of what's going on in the Middle east. They talk about us wanting oil, but I think Russia is the one that's trying to destablilze the area in order to get oil. My source. The Bible.

Russia has only been on the world stage because of one thing:OIL
The Russians are some of the smartest, toughest people, but like most countries, is run into the ground by bad leaders. I really had high hopes when the Soviet Union(communist system) fell...
Russsia does not produce anything of quality of what the world wants. And the level of corruption makes the US gangsters look like school boys.

By 2075, when all the worlds oil reserves are tapped out, Russia will cease to exist today as we know it, as well as Saudi Arabia, etc.

All that really matters is if we have the ability to destroy each other. After you pass that point it really doesn't matter so much anymore.
