I say George Washington Carver because he invented peanut butter and without peanut butter we would not need jelly and without jelly we would not need sliced bread! thats impossible to answer, there are far too many people in too many fields. if one, Leonardo Divinci, because he at least spurred many inventors behind him to make his ideas come to life.he experimented in engineering, art and medicine so he at least covered a wide span of ideas.
