holy sh*t i never thought of that before. d*mn that's tough. hm........ i say it depends what type of vamp it is and what story it's in. cuase i've read many different books about vampires. in every one they have different powers and sometimes look different. even a different breed. so depends on the author's point of view. if you were to ask me i'd say no. it's artificial, not the origional source. so it wouldn't. altho you'd have a tan vamp! psh but where's the sexiness in that?

Vampires die because of the UV rays of the sun, correct? Then I would assume since UV rays are used in tanning beds a vampire would very much die from it.
I have to say that in Anne Rices book, "The vampire Lastat" he drank the blood of one of the oldest vampires, later he tried to kill himself by being in the desert when the sun came up. He just passed out and woke up that night with a tan. So with that info...depending on the age of the vampire they may only tan instead of burning to death.

Tanning booth doesn't count because vampires already use candles to light their own house. The light from the flame doesn't kill them. Also, the vampire can't get a tan because he was born pale. Some ppl just can't tan, like me. I just burn.

Of course...except for the pale vampires. Santa Clause gets a tan before Christmas also. Them rosy cheeks are rosy on both ends. The Easter bunny doesn't tan however, the hair just falls out.
You'r one of Jerry Springer's people ain't you? You ough to get out that trailer sometimes.

well if the vampire goes in the Super Bronzer 2000 there is very low UV rays, so perhaps death may be avoided.
also those little goggles would look cool on a vampire.

They might get sick, don't think they would die.
They would get a tan. Look at the actor George Hamilton. He played Dracula in Love At First Bite. A very old but amusing, funny film. It might be on DVD.

have you ever considered that flow very last vacation spot 3? How 2 princessy ladies bypass into tanning beds and then they get trapped and then they get burnt alive? Haha this isn't suitable, I merely remembered it and it regarded particularly ill (i don't love princessy ladies)

i'm not sure, but maybe cuz it's like the sun. but, then again, maybe not cuz it isn't actual sunlight. i doubt they'd get a tan anyway. if the undead wanted it, they probably could get a tan.

No, because Vampires are real people.
Forget the "dark ceature" crap. They do not fear garlic or crosses, they are really people who identify with being a vampire.
look at wikipedia or www.slad.org for more info
