Collective bargaining gives more equal power to both sides, since the company is negotiating with a large chunk (if not all) if its employees at once.

individual bargaining is very beneficial for corporations. the worker gets the offered wage and is told take it or leave it. if you don't like the wage they offer you must go somewhere else. collective bargaining favors the workers in most cases, because there is the option to strike. under individual bargaining if one person leave because of poor wages they can be replaced. if a whole work force is on strike it would take a lot of money to replace and train new workers
