How can I tell who made a purse?

I bought two purses used but are in pretty good condition because I like the style but I want to know where I can find some information on purses these look pretty old and dont have any tags or designer names. One is shiny and black and snaps shut has a long metal w/black bar that curves slightly on both ends and opens the purse when pulled back, it has a short handle. The other is with a more boxy shape, black short handle looks more like a case, also snaps shut has metal on either side of the closure and a square with a round peg where it snaps shut has a crocodile pattern

please help. I want to find out more info on these purses

I found out the style of one of the purses is a kelly bag. Looks similar to a bellestone but the closure looks like a milch closure except that instead of the crescent facing up it faces down,button on top, and the metal is square not curved Still not sure who made it. Anyone?

why does it matter.. its a purse.....
but if i was you, i'd look for the "made in china" tag. 50% chance its there.
