Some people just like the challenge but they probably dont have a life so they just spread viruses

its alittle different than stealing or cheating. those things get you something, you steal a tv you now possess a tv, you cheat on a test, and you've passed without the effort on studying. viruses are weird my guess is because these nerds were picked on in middle school and now they want to get back at everyone. maybe the government pays them to make glitches in software so that they can regulate repairs and keep computer repair stores in business and make people keep paying for upgrades.

I was at the computer store today because my computer has a virus, and asked the crowd this very question. Most everyone answered as they answered here.
One person had a weird theory - it's the government because they can't regulate the internet - to keep it chaotic.

Usually people who create viruses do that for their hacker friends to think they're pretty good, a bet, anger, depression, or for practice. Not many virus coders do it out of sheer boredom.

There is obviously a lot of money involved in this criminal activity.There are so many of them , so much time is spent creating them , it must be a big , illegal money-making venture.It has turned once- respectable people into crooks over-night. Money is the root of all evil.

some viruses may be harmlsess, only a small number cause diseases however which particular virus do you hate HIV, influenza, be specific!

Because they don't get their "stokes" by doing something constructive. They get their jollies by making someone else's life miserable. There's a special place for them reserved in @#$%.
