ive downloaded the Yahooo! messenger version 8.0 and dont have MSN messenger
i want to know if i can chat with friends who have only MSN messenger and not the Yahoo one
will i be able to chat with my friends having MSN through my Yahoo messenger?

Yes, Microsoft signed a deal with Yahoo that allows MSN to talk to Yahoo.

If I am not mistaken, I believe you can. I think there was some kind of deal made between the two companies which allows it now.
