Who is the greatest bust?

Out of all the top prospects in the past 20 years that had great potential, and was supposed to be a "stud", and turned out to be a "dud", who would you say is the biggest bust?

I'd go with Brien Taylor, who the Yankees took with the first overall pick in the 1991 draft. He was supposed to be a can't-miss staff ace.

Taylor passed on a scholarship to Stanford, instead signing for about $1.5 million. In 1993, he got into a barfight along with his brother, and he suffered a torn labrum. He kicked around the Yankees' system until 1998, then tried to catch on with the Indians and Mariners without success.

He's one of only two players (Steve Chilcott being the other) to be drafted first overall and never make the majors. I remember all the hype surrounding him, and how quickly it faded.

I'm gonna go with 2 guys who still have a chance to prove themselves but had were extremely hyped and have done next to nothing. Mark Prior and Kerry Wood. Both of these guys were high draft picks and had success early in their careers. In 2003 they led the Cubs to the NLCS. But since then the only place they've been is the DL. They have a combined 2 wins this season. If you would have asked a couple years ago how many wins they'd have I'd probably say 10-15 apiece. Both of these guys are still young but as for now they are complete busts.

I know this is tough but id have to say that the greatest bust was Daryl Strawberry. Nobody thinks of him because he ended up being decent but he should have been the best ever. If you disagree id say Brien Taylor- the next randy johnson, or maybe rick ankiel. Maybe Drew Henson because he was paid so much
