Basically, Ipod Is Crap. They are made very very cheaply and very rapidly at a time. Apple makes a big profit off of it all, especially the name. Itunes is what they force you to use to TRANSFER music to it and it slows your computer down a lot. I, for one, loved my Rio carbon 5gb and if you are lucky enough to find one, I advise you to grab it because it WILL treat you well. The Philips goGear 8gb is what I currently have and it's very swell. If you are looking for sometihng a little cheaper, Definitely check out Sandisk mp3 players, they are worth buying as well!

PS- Creative is not what I would recommend and Sony does make a "decent" mp3 player.

I know you can use morpheus or limewire or anything to download music for the ipod, But it's not like you can use Windows explorer to transfer music to the ipod- Thats what I meant.

To bad anything not an iPod will be phased out like 3 months later, and you will have a horrible time getting any support. But hey for 80 bucks, you get what you pay for.

p.s. Actually kaos your WRONG, you dont have to use iTunes to download music, you can download music through any client with peer to peer capacity. iTunes is the interface which allows you to transfer it to the iPod, but you can bring in the music from any other source.

There are some cheap Sony ones you can get out there that look pretty good however if you dont want an IPOD...i recommend taking a look at the Intel MP3 player...pretty nice and inexpensive.

I've own iPod shuffle before but it gone dead after 1 year of using it. When i sent it to the service centre they said the drive got problem and repairing it will cost the price of a new iPod shuffle since the warranty period is over.

Bad experience. Will not buy any apple product in the near future.

Creative Zen Micro. They're cheaper than any ipod, especially the 5 GB ones. They're a good $50 cheaper than the nano, or any normal sized ipod.

Take a good look at this thing. It's only 80 dollars and it's much better than an ipod nano. It's a music player, photo player, video player, voice recorder, and FM radio. The ipod nano can't play videos and doesn't have a voice recorder and FM radio. Just check it out.

if you don;t wanna spend more than $80 then your not gonna get alot of space on it. Why not by an ipod they are worth it, you can hold anything, songs, pictures, videos. Ipods are worth it
