If you have a Sephora (a great store where you can buy makeup, perfume, etc.) near you, you could go there and ask the pros there to help you pick out a nice, natural foundation (if you really need foundation, I recommend Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals foundation--so natural!) and show you the correct way to apply it.
If you don't need foundation, just stick with a little concealer in your trouble spots, a coat of mascara, neutral eyeshadow or none at all, a pretty lip gloss, and a little blush on the apples of your cheeks if you're pale, like me. :~)

I don't know where you live but you can get it done at Dillard's, Macys, merle norman. Just about anywhere they sell make up. They sometimes want you to buy their makeup. you can also try the local beauty school or a hair salon.

Macy's is great for that.
Go to the section with 'Mac' make-up. It is the best make-up for your buck. Stays on nice and doesn't smear. They'll help you out. Just explain that you came to learn how to put it on.

just go into a macys, go to a makeup counter and you can schedule an appointment. they will put make up on you that is super overpriced, but it will help you to figure out what colors look good on you.

I work at JC Penney. The stores in my area no longer have make-up service (maybe they do in yours) Also....I hate to tell the world this, but the people that work at Wal-Mart, JC Penney, etc. are not experts in their dept. (unless it is like the Salon or Auto mecanic)

I don't think that necessary. I taught myself how to apply make-up when I was 13 too! Try wearing natural colors. Maby some Cover-up, blush, brown mascara, black eyeliner (don't applt it too dark!) and some clear lip gloss! Then your set!

Yeah, the best one though, I think, is Dillards at the Clinique counter. Or you can ask a Mary Kay representative. Go to www.marykay.com to find one in your area.

you can go to any major department store, macy's is probably a good idea, even better though would be a mac store, they will walk you through it step by step and explain why they do what.
