The other night my 2001 Honda Accord (2.3l) began losing acceleration power. It kept getting worse and worse and I noticed that in first gear the car would not have enough power to move itself unless I gave it a high rev. The next day the problem continued to worsen as I noticed that the engine was surging and lagging all across the powerband. I drove home from work the same day and the acceleration was almost non existent, a few minutes after leaving work it finally died and has refused to start since. The Check engine light never came on and it is not the fuel pump.

Could be your air filter or a blocked fuel line.

I've notice that this isn't a Ford problem so the answers to this question is serious. Now if it were a Ford question everyone would have a smart-as remark. why is that? Ford put the automobile on the map,and if it wasn't for Ford there would be no map.

it sounds like it try ed to lock up on you,,and now if it wont start it definitely has a problem,,if you have taken the plugs out of it,,and cranked it,,and it cranks slow it may have seized up,,and this can happen without a check engine light coming on,,check the oil level,,and see if it looks ok,,if it does check the coolant level if it is ok then you have probably jumped timing,,you will need someone who knows how to check it to see if it has jumped,,if so it may have to go to a shop for repair,,i hope this help,s.

As my brother-in-law always says. It could be this or that or 1 or 2 hundred other things. Eric works no cars for a living. Always remember this. Never, I say NEVER trust your lights. If you feel something is wrong talk to somebody about it. Sorry for your loss. ~:(

It sounds like you got a hold of some gas with water in it. You might have to take all the gas out of your tank. Good-Luck !
