am i really in love with him? we've known each other for almost a year. we have fussed alot in the past, but now we get along fine. i really don't know how to tell. he's had sex in the past but i'm still a virgin. he's never pressured me to have sex. please help! all SERIOUS answers please!

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

I believe that at different ages there are different loves. No I dont think that you have that make a commitment kind of love but maybe you have a type of love. See I think that living and experiencing things in life a deeper love is felt. Right now the love that you may have is the spend the day with, hold hands, kiss, and talk on the phone kind of love. I would strongly recommend that you do wait on the sex so that you can experience it once you have reached a level of maturity that you know 100% you love someone. I hope this makes sense.

Dont let anyone tell you that you are too young for true love. My b/f and i have been together since we were 15 and all of the odds were against us but we did it right.We just moved in together 3 years ago and had our first child 10 months ago. Trust me you are just as subseptable to feeling true love at 14 than you are at 25 b/c i am 25 and still feel the same love for my man as i did 10 yrs ago. If you get bubblys in your tummy, you love him.I lost my virginity to him when i was 18 and he had sex before me but held out for when he knew i was ready b/c he loved me. And everyone argues with each other so thats totally normal too. If you have to ? yourself as to if you love him or not you probly don't and will be dissapointed in the long run for having ruined a friendship. Hope it all works out for ya

Well...if you think you're in love, then you're "in love". Note the quotation marks. There's a difference between being "in love" and having a true-last-a-lifetime love. I'm glad to hear that he didn't pressure you to have sex. I myself, despite being "in love" many times as a teenager, waited until I was over 18 to have sex for the first time, and I am SO GLAD I did.

Puppy love and theres nothing wrong with that, it can still hurt just as bad. You wait until you feel absolutely comfortable, hopefully that is when you are 18... If he isn't pressuring you then you have nothing to worry about. He will respect you so much more if you both wait to do this when you have been together longer.

well i'm 14 too and i also have known my friend which is the guy i like for a year . ok if he ask you to have sex with him what i think you should do is dump him and say no because its not worth it when your this age. if the guy i like tells me if i want to have sex with him i will stop llikeing him . because you know you are not that stupid.thats only my disicion . well take good care of yourself.

WELL i met my hubby and i was 14, it was instant and i just KNEW that it was meant to be.We were always told that it was PUPPY love and wouldnt last.... we have been together for 25 yrs and i am not even 39 now. we also have an 18, 15, and 11 yr old .and if one of them were in similar situation i would suposrt them,,, if its true love IT WILL conquer ALL!!!

honestly, if you have to come here to find out if you're in love, you're probably not. it's most likey lust. do you see yourself with this person in the future? do you think you're gonna marry him? if you answered yes to both of those, then you might be. a lot of teenagers assume they're in love when they're really not, so don't let this happen to you. you just need some time to figure this out.

Well, you are a little young to know what love is in my opinion...you havent really seen other guys enough to know really. my advise is to keep talking to him and just keep it real. stay a virgin till your married! if he is older and already had sex then he might expect it from you sooner or later......be careful
