Maybe you all believe that change comes from within. That if the light bulb wanted to be changed it would change itself. You know, 'live and let live' philosophy. Or maybe they believe that it is not an enlightened bulb.
Sorry, I don't mean to make light of your family. But then again, they just may all be dimbulbs.
