Try to experment with what ever you want! Thats always fun. You can try to cut them (holes), sandpaper (worn look), a lighter or match (burns looks, not too much though), bleach (if you want white parts, not too much either!) or anything. You could beat them with a chain, or put safty pins in them. You can do as much as the jeans and your imagination will let you!

You might wanna try it out on an old pair of jeans.

You can soak them in heavily diluted bleach, then take some sand paper when they're dry and sand specific areas to make them look distressed. Buy the prewashed type of jeans, the "shrink to fit" nonsense will shrink to much.

The manufacturers of this very popular style of jean achieve this texture and look by washing or rinsing them with sand infused water, however this next to impossible to do at home, unless you want to ruin your washing machine.

I've seen jeans like these sell for $70.00 and up in departments stores. Ridiculous. Why people pay this kind of money for jeans that look used is beyond me. These jeans cost about $10.00 to make if that.

If you want a lighter wash, bleach them or just splatter bleach on them for some light spots. To get holes and distressed areas, take a fine grit piece of sandpaper and rub over places that would naturally wear- like knees, thighs, and pocket seams. Try putting something hard, like a chain, inside the area you are rubbing for maximum ease and effect. Good luck!

My friend got a destroyed look by accidentally locking her keys in her car and her trunk was open so she hoped in and kicked the back seats really hard and when she did that she cause at the knees to rip and fray.

Me on the other hand, I'm too lazy I rather shop at Abercrombie or hollister etc and get them..lol

Try Clorox if you want to bleach them. Use a Dremel sander or a sanding block around the edges of pockets, hems, and the zipper flap. Use a cheese grater if you want to get the shredded look on knees or pockets.

I used the blade on a pair of scissors and just rubbed them against the bottom of the jeans... It worked pretty well.

all you need is to get a razor, cut some of it, slash it do watever you wish. then, place it in the washing machine & wash it so the parts you cutted out will get all old looking & torn like it was destroyed.

there you go =D

grind the knees of your jeans with a nail file or sand paper, or make a slit with a knife and put them in the washing machine.
