I don't know what treatments you have already tried. I'm not too keen on the therapy that involves nerve blocks and drugs until all else has failed. So, here are my recommendations:
I would try a couple forms of body/energy work,
CranioSacral Therapy would help both the body and the emotional/spiritual aspect of the injury recovery.
Reiki would do the same.
There is a modality called body talk that addresses the emotional/spiritual aspect too.
Acupuncture is excellent for pain management as well as balancing you body/mind energy.
Myofascial massage will help reduce pain from scarring.
You might consider seeing someone who specializes in healing trauma on the emotional level too. Emotional scarring can cause pain just as physical scarring does.
I hope this helped a bit. Good Luck!

The nerves can take a very long time to heal and since you had extensive damage I'd say that "yes" it is possible. I still get pain from a cut I'd gotten in the 1980's.

Talk to your dr. about pain help.

sure if you suffered nerve damage. Have you taken any B-6 supplements on a regular basis? Have you applied any aloe vera topically over a period of time? maybe the two together-B-6 is good for circulation and helps the nerves toheal and stay healthy. alo vera is a potent topical healer.

I imagine if you sustained severe nerve damage, that could be the cause of your pain. I don't know of any solutions, although if it were a matter of nerve problems, there are possible ways to lessen the pain (such as nerve block injections or epidurals). Talk to your doctor to see if there's any treatment he/she can suggest.

Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.
Consult a Pain Management specialist.
They are like anethesioologists with pain management specialities... they can block nerves with injections... etc..
Lyrica and Neurotin are other options.
