last night i had 2 pretty strong contractions but they ended up going away however during the first one I started shaking a bit, is it normal to get chills during contractions? and now today i have been having a lot of back pain but it seems to be centralized in the middle of my back not really my lower back could these be early signs?

The general rule, which I am sure your obgyn has told you, if the contractions continue for more than one hour, or get worse, or are combined with bleeding or leakage then call them. I bet its your body preparing you for labor. This can happen as early as the 30th week, but considering your in your 37th...who knows, if they are particularly powerful....I would just try to relax, keep your feet up and take your time doing things, and if you have any of those symptoms as mentioned above, give your doctor a call....

Yes you do get the chills!! If the contractions keep coming then I'd say yes to early labor signs. I don't think you have long to wait now though. And yes back labor does hurt the most, but I did it with 3 children and I never once had an epidural, so you can do it. So good luck and an early CONGRATS!!

You may be in labor. Everyone has different experiences. You can call the hospital, and see if they want you to come in. Some people have extremely easy labor with little pain. I hope you are so fortunate. The chills may be a nervous reaction as well. There is little in life that is so exciting and scary at the same time. God Bless.

Maybe, But then again it might be braxton hix. How far along are you. Real labor contractions come on slow and slowly become stronger and more intensest.

Yep they sure could.
Back labor is very painful.
Sometimes that is all the kind of labor you experiance.
If you are concerned... have some check to see if you are dialated at the hospital....
