the one where you put the boiling water in the container with the pasta and it cooks. I want to get it for my friend going to college, and I want to know if it works.

Not at all. If you want it to work, you need to put insulation around it, and it isn't worth it, because it takes much longer than the three minutes that it promises. Don't bother buying it.

No, you might as well just use a pot. You have to wait for the water to boil, then you have to wait 8 minutes for the pasta to cook. What a waste.

Yes it does, but don't waste your money because you can do the same thing with any sealable container. "add pasta, add boiling water, secure lid, wait for 15 min."

Fox 8 in my network done a test on it for "deal or a dud" and it was a dud. They said the pasta wasn't that good, it was a big waste of money, and kinda aggrivating.
