The pickle jiuce is a good answer because it has a high vinegar content.... vinegar cools the burn. Applying by patting with cotton pads or cotton balls prevent rubbing the irritated skin. Also you can get some Ocean Potion blue aloe vera gel... it has lidocane in it to help numb the pain. Keep it in the fridge and it will be super cool when you apply it. If the burn is very bad, I would have to recommend that you visit an Urgent Care center or your doctor. They may have something stronger you can put on it. See a Dr. especially if the skin blisters up because then you are at risk of infection.

The store should sell gel with aloe vera in it. Otherwise another product we used to use all the time was Solarcaine. It comes in a can and it is sprayed on. it relieves the pain pretty quickly of a sunburn. There should be a lot of choices in the first aid section of any decent store. Good luck

Ouch!! Been there, done that.
The best thing to do is to take an advil or asprin immediately. It will help with the pain & the swelling a little, too. If there isnt any aloe vera, try a cool milk bath. Then after you get out of the tub, lotion yourself like a mad person.
Good luck!

Get body lotion for itchy, dry skin and put it on wherever you are sunburned. And wear a lot of it!! Trust me, I got a really bad sunburn a few weeks ago and the body lotion will make the sunburn not hurt so much. Oh, and also take advil or iruprufen..it might help :)
Good Luck!

well, since aloe is not available, cold compressions will at least help the burning temporarily. or maybe you could get an ice pack from the front desk. and just air your skin as much as possible. but keep searching for aloe w/ lanolin ( i think that's what it's called), that's the best thing.

vinegar followed by cocoa butter. Also, when you take a shower, get some black tea bags (there may be some in your in-room coffee bar). It won't necessarily make it hurt less, but the tannins in the tea help prevent severe blistering (this works with other types of burns, too).

If it is that bad you should probably see a Dr. A large scale 1st degree burn can be dangerous. Your skin is after all the largest organ. If you are traveling ask the hotel desk, they sometimes have a house Dr. or one who will take care of their customers.
