whats so tough about their schedule, they play usc, but who do they play thats any good, they do have a good squad year after year, but they dont really play anyone, just think if nd or usc were in the sec, they wouldnt pull half the wins that they do

Yes, if ND were in the SEC you are right they would not breeze through. But they do play Michigan, Penn State, UCLA, and USC this year (no cupcakes here). I think ND could be undefeated in regular season because they may have the best coach in college football and 9 easy games they should win if you take away the 4 opponents mentioned above. I'm an SEC fan but the Irish are in a very good place right now and they got robbed big time in the USC game last year. This year is likely payback time in LA. You could make a case for several teams to win the National Championship this year, but ND is one of those that have to be included in the discussion.

Notre Dame is overrated, it's really that simple. They had the **** kicked out of them in the Fiesta Bowl. They only lost by 14 points but it wasn't even that close. Two tOSU blocked FGs and TOs kept it that close. If winning as an Independent is so hard ND should join a conference. They won't though...why share their wealth with anyone else, plus they can then play as many cupcakes as they want. ND may make the NC game, I doubt it though. Their D is not very good at all and don't look for it to get much better. They probably won't even beat USC.

I would love for them to go the the national championship game, then they could get beaten like they stole something by the Buckeyes again in the Fiesta Bowl. If Notre Dame had Troy Smith, Teddy Ginn, Antonio Pittman, and others, then maybe, but anyways, ND's defense couldn't stop a good high school team from scoring on them.

No they won't get there. You asked what was tought about their schedule? It's real tough. But that's why they won't make it. Let's look at the first five games of the season. GA Tech, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue. Brutal. No way they get through that unbeaten. I think they'll lose two of those games. Their secondary is SOOOO slow. They had the 103rd ranked pass defense last year and all 4 of the starters are back in the secondary.
They won't be able to make it to the National Championship this year guys, quit gawking over the Farting Amish.

I think they'll win it all and beat the crap out of the Southern California, ankle grabbers aka the USC condoms. GO IRISH!
University of Southern California also stands for U Suck Carroll!
The Irish will dominate college football this coming season and Weis will receive coach of the year honors.

Notre Dame loses at least three this year, two in September and losing to at least one of the LA schools.
