No, Bush hates Lieberman. Plus Lieberman still has a good shot at his Senate seat. He is strongly supported by Independants in which Connecticut has just as many as them then other political parties. They will show up for the election, remember Independants don't have a say in primaries.

Donald Rumsfeld's job as Secretary of protection and Joe Lieberman's job as a US Senator have little or no to do with one yet another. Lieberman is in straightforward words operating in a first, besides. Why could Bush fireplace Rummy if Lieberman lost???!!!??!??

No, Lieberman is running as an independent. If Bush was in his first term and Lieberman wasn't running for office that would be a good possibilty. But it isn't going to happen
