No not at all. I had one who lived for about 6 years. They are easy to take care of and are compatible with most fish. I kept mine with White Mountain Clouds (slim, small fish) who got along with the dwarf frog fine. However make sure you don't stress your frog, because mine almost ate one of my fish when my sibbling taped the fish bowl all day (my frog spit the fish out, but it broke the fish's backbone).

When you set up an aquarium for your dwarf frog, or if you already have one, make sure you make some sort a hiding place for you frog (a shell, plants, anything that can provide cover) as they like to hide and will feel more secure. Also, if you already have fish, make sure they aren't too aggressive, as the fish may nibble or bite the frog. Also, when your frog sheds, leave the old skin in the tank, as either the fish (if there are fish) or the frog will eat the old skin.

Overall, and African Dwarf Frog is a good pet, and require very little effort to be taken care of. I hope that answers your question, and good luck with your frog if you choose to get one!

The only challenge with these frogs tends to be feeding, because they are slow feeders and are not very active, so food needs to be literally right in front of them, which is why i use a syringe (the type used to feed baby birds) to drop the thawed frozen food right in front of them.

No, you just add it to your fish tank and they will eat whatever you feed your fish. The only possible problem is that they will eat fish fry (or any fish small enough to fit in their mouth)
