I was terrified. I used to have nightmares. to this day, I can't sleep with my feet uncovered by a sheet because E.T. might grab them.

I was not afraid of the movie itself, but I was always afraid of that one scene where the kids have ET in the bathroom and he is all white. Then the guy in the astronaut suit walks in and before you know it these guys are crawling through windows and stuff.
But now, I'd say that ET is one of my all time favorite movies. I watched it over and over last summer.

I thought it was pretty scary too (although I think I was about the same age as Drew Berrymore was when the movie came out). I mean I remember not really being scared of ET, but having nightmares that looked a lot like the scenes from the movie, also wasn't so sure about the scene in the bathroom where the little boy and ET are sick. I think I knew even then that ET was a "good guy" and not out to get me. So, a little yes, a little no.

No, but my 5 year old son is terrified of Dobby the house elf from the 2nd Harry Potter movie.

omg i was to my brother used to watch it all the time and i was afraid to go downstairs or in the garage by myself lol because i was et was going to get me!! also i used to have to get up from my bed to turn of the light and when i did i would run to my bed because i thought he was going to get me and i always thought he was under my bed so if my feet was over the end of the bed i would pull them up again lol scary moments but hey come on i was only 6 years old!! but believe me you're not alone!

I wasn't scared...but i didn't like the movie because it made me so so sad when they captured him and were going to cut him up. That really really bothered me. Even though it had a happy ending...the middle part was just too sad for me.

My boyfriends mother tells me all the time that my boyfriend was scared of ET. and i will never tell him that i was too :P... Kind of embarassed about it. haha.
