Yes. they are way to overrated, they get away with rapping about crap that doesn't make any sense about how much money they have and about girls shaking their buts five million times in a row.
anything they sing, or rap is a hit and it's just not right!

Depends on the rapper. Some are and some are actually underrated. The more of a pimp, thug, hustler u are the better you are but a good rapper goes way much deeper than that. I think the rappers that actually rap about something and not the same old thing are the ones that are underrated and that shoudlnt be.

No, people are just listening to the wrong rappers. Listen to Black Thought from the Roots and tell me that rap doesn't require talent (to be good).

Depends upon what standards you are rating them under!!

As rhythmic, spoken vocalists, many are very talented. Many though, forget that they are role models for confused, rebellious youth. Rather than potentially lose some record sales, weak-charactered rappers will exploit youth (rather than help them) for financial gain--with explicit lyrics.

so, i think they are overexposed. it's a market economy, and vulnerable youth are easy prey for unscrupulous types.

DUHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Theres a saying about swearing showing a lack of intelligence. I take it to mean the more a person swears, the less intelligence they have. That would mean that most rappers have the brain the size of a gerbils brain.

yes! i watched this thing on tv and it was saying that most rappers rap about stuff they don't have and they rap about having all these women and cars just to sound better when actually they don't have anything.

No f*'in sh*t. Slap my b*tches upside the head. Gimme a break. Mean people suck and then they get rich. Just ain't fair. "Rap Music" is as big an oxymoron as "Military Intelligence" or "Jumbo Shrimp."
