Alright, I suck at dancing. I am a guy and all I know how to do is grind. Can someone explain to me how to dance? Also, how do you decide how to dance to each song? I'm sure you aren't supposed to grind to everything. Thanks a lot.

One thing about dancing there is always someone better and someone worse at doing it than you.

Here is a video clip of comedian Judson Laipply with his version of the evolution of dance: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8919541964498299964&q=genre%3Adance&hl=en. These may be before your time, but they were real dances!

I'm pretty sure you can do better. And think of how happy you will make your girl friend if you try.

Here is the page that has lists of people dancing. I hope you enjoy them. http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=genre%3Adance&hl=en

Good luck.

Dancing For the Untrained:

shift your weight from one foot to the other in time to the beat. snap. move your arms to the beat (but not crazy like). get a little groove. If you can grind, you can do this. For further detail, take a dance class or watch a dance video. CHeck out salsa and swing in particular. Girls dig this. They ESPECIALLY dig a guy who can do it and can lead her, whether or not she knows what she's doing (which is the sign of a good dance leader anyway).

You need to take some dance lessons. I can dance to any music because I know all the dances. I never have to "grind" to any song. I leave the grinding to the coffee beans and skateboarders.

You should just listen and "feel" the beat of a particular song. Not the actual music but the BEAT. Then relax a little bit not TOO much and move your body however feels most natural to you but only move to the rhythm of the beat. Most importantly...Have Fun! ^_^

Just feel the rythm of the song and just go for it! Watch other people and just do whatever. I don't dance alot, but take it from me, when i like a song, i just, well, dance.

Sit down for the first hour and watch the other guys and girls
dance, then listen to the rhythm and let your body feel the
beat and it will work out.
