Im looking at a 93 Audi 90CS 2.8 L with 92K miles for $1800. Is this a good buy?

Don't touch it. THE 90CS's were plagued with problems from the head gasket down to the ignition and elecrtics. For $1800 it may seem like you're getting a modest deal but you will end up spending more on repairs than on the car itself.

Depends on the condition---but in any event unless you have money for maintenance, be cautious. Audis are VERY.....VERY...expensive to repair and maintain--especially parts prices.

So if you don't have spare cash, and a shop that knows Audis inside and out, you might want to think this over.

If you simply HAVE to have it, get it checked out top to bottom and then sideways, inside and out. Spend $300 if you have to, to have the car completely diagnosed.

If one major component fails on this car, you will be paying for it twice or three times in the blink of an eye.

The Audi V6 is a great motor. It will go 200k easy if you do the service. However make sure the services have been done. Also if it is an automatic then skip it unless its been replaced. That year trans seldom goes more than 100k.

They where plagued with problem. They are a nice car but dont buy it unless you plan on spending a ton of money on it.
