a network admin is someone who works as a support for technical computer-related problems in a company. a help desk analyst basically works in a call center, who tries to answer inane questions from some schmuck who does not know what he/she is doing.

Well, in the place I work, our network administrator is the person literally responsible for the network -- they make sure we are all connected and the system is running. They sort of oversee everything Our help desk is who we call when something happens or our printer isn't working or whatever. If we call the network admin, we get the same person every time. But, if we call the help desk, we could talk to someone different each time.
