Stress is something we all experience, through many different forms. I'm guessing that while you are stressed, you are feeling the height of many different emotions. While I'm not an expert, I can tell you that meditation is a great way of relief. If you search around and ask for help, lots of people will give you tips on how to relax. A long time ago, I used to self harm to rid my mind of stress, but I strongly reccomend you stay away from that. The best thing to do is that when you feel the uprising of any stressful moments, just walk away, and find a quiet, relaxing spot. Choose a place away from people, and just sit down, and breathe. Take slow, deep breaths, and set your mind upon happy things, or things that make you calm. Don't think about your pain, just still your mind, and relax your body. Think about anything but the problems you could be experiencing. But hey, if you don't find this a relief, buy a punch bag, or scream into your pillow or punch your bed and let it all loose. Either way has worked for me, and please remember I'm just a normal person (Well, I'm a little crazy), so I'm just offering my ideas for you. Take care.

One thing I've heard is if you take the tip of your tongue and press it really hard on the top of your mouth right where your front teeth and the roof of your mouth meet, it calms you down/releases stress. I'm not entirely sure if it really works or not, but I'm sure it's worth a try.

Cramming for US History Finals I discovered a nice cup of tea and a few hard not-too-super-rich cookies does the trick as well. My personal favorite - Pepperidge Farm Milanos.

A reiki master told me to put my right hand over my heart and my left hand over my stomach and take 3 deep breaths. It helped me relax for my comm presentation.
