Mel not only played the Emperor's role while evidently DUI, he profanely scolded and threatened the arresting officers and used the 'F' word way too often. If the facts are true, he demonstrated unrestrained racism (Anti-Semetism against the Jewish people). Seems to me that his 'Passion of the Christ' was somewhat overboard in Jewish hatred. He will be mostly forgiven, but not forgotten.

I do not believe that he is a racist, but in moments of "mental looseness" he reverts to some of the teachings of his youth.

Why did the Jews give him so much static when he made the movie about Christ? See, that's where it started. Mel should apologize but the Jews running Hollywood should first apologize for starting the whole thing. Mel was stressed because of persecution, behind the scenes. Mel got drunk, and it all came out.

The more important question is: how does Hollywood remain almost completely dominated by Jews? Obviously, they are the bigots, promoting Jews as actors, or producers, etc...to remain in control. Does it make me feel good that Jewish people, who hate Jesus, are instructing the world through movies, TV, etc? They remain in control because they are practicing bigotry. That is why Mel was so stressed.

"Anti-Semitism against the Jewish People"? as opposed to anti-semitism against the Catholics???? I think your choice of words is rather redundant. Also, what do you mean by "unrestrained racism"? As I recall, he was restrained, arrested, booked and thrown in jail. Please clarify. Also what do you mean by "used the F word way too often"? When someone arrests you for DUI is there a statutory limit to the use of "F" Bombs? Is 5 okay but 10 "way too often." Please enlighten us. Also, do you really believe that the point of "Passion of the Christ" was to espouse Jewish hatred??? If you do then I have a question for you, "Do people ask STUPID questions on Yahoo questions?" The answer is "Does a bear sh** in the woods?"

Sure, he had a major (MAJOR) rant, but he was drunk. Hard to know if he meant it or not. I have said things I do not believe in while drunk, as well as been bluntly honest about things I do believe in...so it really is hard to know.

What I would like to know is how come it made world news? A celebrity saying/doing dumb things should be seen as typical behaviour, rather than newsworthy. If he has a drinking problem the pressure created by saturation news coverage isn't going to be helping him.

"Is there a cow in Texas?"

I so have to remember that expression, I love it!

I think he is. His father is not only a holocaust denier, he's also a well-known white supremacist in Australia. The apple does not fall far from the tree in this case.

Plus any man who acts like he does and then claims his long-suffering wife is "going to hell" because she doesn't believe exactly as he does is just insane in my book. He's a complete hypocrite.

1) Jewish people are usually white...Jewish isn't their race, white is.
2) Mel Gibson's anti-Semitism is prejudice and yes, I believe that he is. Alcohol has a tendency of making people VERY honest...

no he's not racist, it's called being drunk and out of control. haven't you ever said something that you regretted? i mean we all have. his comments just happen to be all over the media. yes he should be forgiven! didn't you want to be forgives when you said something that you didn't mean, and please don't get me started on that racist stuff. everyone is to a certain extent. you can say you aren't but you really are to an extent.
